Experience a perfect day trip from Hanoi combining culture and nature. Visit the vibrant Quang Phu Cau Incense Village, where locals have been crafting incense for over 100 years, then travel to Ninh Binh to explore its spectacular limestone landscapes. Enjoy a scenic boat ride through Tam Coc or the UNESCO-listed Trang An, followed by a climb to Mua Cave for breathtaking panoramic views of the countryside before returning to Hanoi in the evening.
07h30 – 7h45: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi old quarter area.
08h00: Depart for the Quang Phu Cau village, which has been producing incense for more than 100 years.
09h30: Arrive center of the village. Take a walk to see how locals make incense on the artisanal, family scale. Meet a family who specializes in dyeing incense sticks and take in the colorful bundles of incense.
Learn how incense is made from scratch and more about the lives of manual workers. Take home memories of your visit with incense souvenirs from the place they’re produced.
10h30: Transfer to Ninh Binh
12h00: You will have a lunch with local specialties in the private area of our Trang An Heritage Garden. The vegetarian option is also available.
13h15 - 13h30: Option 1: Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you will spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves for a unique experience.
Option 2: Trang An, a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO in 2014. There, you can spend 1.5 hours on the boat ride to enjoy the beauty of this place, which owns a beautiful tunnel cave system and appears in the New Version of Kong in 2016 - “Skull Island”.
15h30: We continue to visit Mua Cave and climb 500 steps to reach the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain, overlooking the amazing view of the city and Tam Coc below.
16h30 - 17h00: Transfer back to Hanoi.
19h00 - 19h30: Drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
